2026 Group Registration

Please use the form below to register your group to volunteer with the MLK Service Project. This form is to be completed by the volunteer coordinator. Individual volunteers will sign up on the Volunteer Registration page once this group registration is complete. All volunteers must register and sign a waiver prior to the event.

Please approximate the number of members of your group who will be volunteering.

The MLK Service Project requests that you provide approximately one (1) adult chaperone for every 10-15 youth.

Youth Groups

Unless you are making lunches off site, your group will be assigned to a Yard Crew

As a group made up primarily of youth, you will be assigned to work with a yard crew. Tools are provided for yard crews. You may bring your own tools, gloves or other necessities. Please dress appropriately for working outside.
Please note that you may be working on public lands.

Adult Groups

Please select from the list below what type of work is the best fit for your group. We assign groups to work together on the same house or project.

Entire home: Your group will be responsible for the repairs on an entire home as well as coordinating your volunteers for the weekend. Your group will also provide a house captain.
Home Repairs: Your group will be assigned to a house to make home repairs such as painting and minor repairs.
Cleaning/Organizing: This may involve cleaning out basements, crawl spaces and attics; cleaning up after construction; or deep cleaning. If you have any restrictions, please note them in the notes section at the bottom of this form.
Weatherization: This project involves installing materials that make a home more energy efficient.
Sanitation: This work involves picking up construction and yard debris that has been moved to the curb.
Materials: Materials volunteers work at Home Depot taking orders from house captains, pulling orders and delivering orders. Some knowledge of basic home repairs and several trucks or SUVs are required for this job.
Tools: Tool volunteers will hand out tools to volunteers. There are additional shifts tool handout.
Meal Preparation: Prepare lunches offsite for our Saturday and Monday volunteers.

Materials

Materials Volunteer Expectations

As materials volunteers, your group will work with our materials coordinator primarily at Home Depot. Basic understanding of home improvement and tools is necessary. Your group will take orders from House Captains, pull the orders and deliver the items to the houses. Your group will need to provide a truck or large SUV for deliveries during your shift.

Tools

Tool Volunteer Expectations

As tool volunteers, your group will distribute tools to volunteers. You will be working from The Solarium and your shifts will be different from other volunteers.

Food

Food Volunteer Expectations

As a food volunteer group, your group will be expected to prepare lunches for our Saturday or Monday volunteers. All meals will be prepared offsite and delivered to The Solarium.
The food committee will contact you with further instructions.
