Possibly the Greatest Kept Secret in Decatur!

Did you know that the Martin Luther King, Jr. Service Project helps low-income seniors and veterans remain in Decatur by making free repairs to their homes? Hundreds of committed volunteers of all skill levels replace siding, repair windows, fix doors, repair fences, build ramps, clean yards, paint rooms, fix kitchens, prepare food for volunteers, and ultimately change the lives of folks who need help! One volunteer said, “My work over the MLK, Jr. weekend in January is one of the most meaningful ways for me to give back to my community! I love it!”

Please consider joining us as a volunteer or donating. You can also refer a senior neighbor or veteran who may need help with their City of Decatur home.

Visit our website for information, and we look forward to working with you next year!
